A word from our RestoreLakeLure.com Champion, Spence Romine, owner, The Lodge on Lake Lure

“When I first visited Lake Lure, I knew this place was special. There’s a peaceful charm that surrounds the lake, and I quickly felt a pull to become a part of this vibrant community. When the opportunity arose to reopen The Lodge on Lake Lure, we couldn’t resist. The Lodge had been closed for over two years, and we saw this as a chance not only to restore it but also to enhance what made it so beloved.

Beyond restoring the Lodge’s amenities, we’ve reconnected with the community. Guests—many with decades of memories tied to this place—were eager to return. It’s heartwarming to hear stories from those who have made Lake Lure their retreat for so long. If you had the pleasure of meeting our GM Amanda, or got to feast on a Chef Tyler creation, you understand why we take such pride in creating memorable guest experiences.

As someone who’s come to love this area, I’m deeply committed to seeing Lake Lure flourish. This brings me to the RestoreLakeLure.com campaign. The recent challenges brought by Hurricane Helene have had a direct impact on the community. While government support has provided a foundation, the cleanup effort requires additional help—something that demands both community solidarity and individual contributions. The RestoreLakeLure.com campaign is meant to ease the burden of local residents and lakeside businesses who are providing personal resources to assist with lake restoration efforts.

Supporting this initiative isn’t just about preserving the lake for recreation; it’s about protecting the legacy of Lake Lure for residents, visitors, and future generations. I encourage everyone to visit RestoreLakeLure.com and contribute. Together, we can ensure Lake Lure remains a place of beauty and cherished memories.

Thank you for your support, and we look forward to welcoming you at The Lodge on Lake Lure soon!”

Sincerely,

Spence Romine and the entire staff at The Lodge on Lake Lure
