“Lake Lure has always been a place where I’ve found genuine connections and a sense of belonging. At Tryon International, my role is both dynamic and deeply rooted in service. But beyond horses and hospitality, our mission is to make a positive impact in the broader community. We’re proud to partner with local organizations to enhance economic development, educational programs, and wellness initiatives throughout the Carolina region.

After the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, it was clear that many of our neighbors, including those who count on the lake for their business income, were sacrificing their own personal resources by doing whatever needs to be done to move forward.  The storm left behind significant damage—roads washed out, properties flooded, and the lake infrastructure in jeopardy. We at Tryon International have been actively involved in the recovery process, providing logistical support, hosting fundraising events, and mobilizing volunteers to assist with cleanup efforts.

However, the road to restoration is long, and the financial burden goes far beyond what government aid can cover. That’s why I wholeheartedly endorse the RestoreLakeLure.com fundraising campaign. This initiative is crucial in bridging the gap between the resources available from government programs and the personal sacrifices our local residents have made in the wake of Helene. Every dollar raised will directly impact families and businesses working hard to restore the lake and safeguard the future of this special place.
